I found out about GRO through the NYSERDA home energy program. A previous contractor that was supposed to replace my furnace left me hanging for 6 months. Just before Christmas, I did a contractor change through the state, and GRO accepted the job immediately. GRO called me within days. When the nice women in the office heard that I had no heat, they had Bob call me. Things moved very quickly…. He had someone out to my home the next day. He helped educate me on the programs, answered all my questions, and found even more ways to help me with my home. I now have heat. I’m beyond grateful and happy. There’s more work to do, but the contractors have been out working hard every day. I can’t recommend them enough… they restored my faith in contractors. If you apply for any grants, such as NYSERDA or the CAPC weatherization program… any of those… you can select your preferred contractor. For anyone here in the cold north country, definitely apply. They don’t judge you, they are extremely kind and professional, and they focus on doing a quality job the right way.
